    about me
I play guitar and sing in The UpTones, and I'm an MP3 Lunatic. The mp3s I post here are songs I've found that really rock my world. Whatever genre, whatever language, I just like 'em a lot. Hope you enjoy.
    why i'm a source
Because it's fun. Sharing mix cassettes in high school is how this started for me, and listening to FM radio back when they had actual DJ's. I was turned on to so many wonderful artists and songs during that time. Then there was a long and dreadful lull, as pop radio became homogenized and merged into its current ridiculous state. Apart from college stations and indie record stores, it was quiet. Now that MP3 is a word, things have gotten fresh again. There are no geographic boundaries, and the music world is enjoying a much needed re-boot. For me, all this new activity has blown away the dark clouds of the mainstream. Even the word "mainstream" loses its meaning as we artists and music lovers have access to each others works, discoveries, and ideas. My fellow sources' song discoveries are blowing my mind, like my friends' tapes used to do. It's like having an ever growing mix tape that keeps expanding in limitless directions and anyone can partake. I love it.
