    about me
When I bought my first PC, my intention was to create music in the cheapest way, on my own -- like a one-man-band-in-a-box... So I went on the Internet and got a few freeware music creation tools, and started "creating", at the same time surfing around music label websites checking for inspiration. And what had to happen finally happened : I ended up downloading more perfect songs in a day than I could ever write in a thousand years.
    why i'm a source
I thought I might add something to MP3 4U, especially as regards wayward/forward-thinking French or European pop that might sound interesting to "international ears"...

Smile Around the Face by Four Tet

When I Come Back Around by Jamie Lidell
    urban/R&B, electronic, IDM, funk, soul
This is incredibly funky, yet incredibly innovative... Vintage synths groove and wail over expertly (de)constructed drumming and disco-funk basslines, and Lidell's voice is the closest...  more »

Delicate folktronica from Nantes, France. Simple acoustic guitar with strings and piano, over a subtle rhythm structure made of fragments of bleeps and noises. Both...  more »
    Reality Check by Schneider TM

    Chin High by Roots Manuva
    hip hop, UK hip-hop
Someday, "the council estate" may replace "the project" as the locale for daring hip-hop. Roots Manuva hails from some London, UK row of derelict apartment...  more »
