He Treats Me Like A Dog
by Bessie Mae Smith

Public Domain 4U says: Bessie Mae Smith - not to be confused with Bessie Smith- had a tragic, yet heroic life. Born then orphaned. Sang and recorded with the greatest blues musicians of her time. And died suddenly in an automobile accident in September of 1927. Considering the calamitous events in her life I gather she might be talking to God on, "He Treats Me Like a Dog."
