The Recluse

simplejonny says: Oh the dilemma's of the Source, which song do you choose? Luckily someone already posted The Martyr, so I chose this song, which has been a great stepping stone for anybody I've tried to introduce to this band. Slightly more melodic than their older rawer work, Cursive took a step up in making the album this song is featured on. The addition of a cello rounds out their sound and adds a new level. The guitar lines are slightly more orthodox than in the past but they retain a distincly different sound from most bands I have heard recently. The lyrics are clever, the tune is catchy and overall this is just a fantastic song. If you like it, check out the other songs on their site.
