Tsunamio says: Baaba Maal is a superstar in his home country of Senegal, and with good reason. This is a beautiful song that's also infectious (and yet, 'sugary' would never be used to describe it). Even if you're not generally interested in African music, give this one a try - it's good enough to go above borders.
