That comp introduced me to Samiam and The Weakerthans and both became fast favourites. These bands are the sound of punks growing up. The guitar is a little slower, the life is a little more worn in, but the emotion is still there in full force. A catchy opening riff is bolstered by a solid bassline and vocals with just the right combination of edge and poppiness. Beautiful.
