Monkey Gone To Heaven
by Frank Black Francis
, ,

He_Is_Me says: One of the greatest pop songs of all time reinterpreted by its creator, Frank Black, who used to be known as Black francis as the frontman of recently reborn Pixies. The new version is devoid of the original's trance-like delivery (remember Black's singing on the "If man is 5 / Then the devil is 6! / Then God is 7!" part of the song?), yet it stands as a slow-paced, effect-laden piece of oblique cosmic pop.
