Empire
by Dar Williams
, ,

American Slag Heap says: Singer/songwriter Dar Williams delivers a fantastic new album this week titled "My Better Self." It's a collection of songs written by Williams and performed with the likes of Soulive, Ani DiFranco, Marshall Crenshaw and Patty Larkin. Every song captures the post-September 11 mood of a nation on the verge, and the song "Empire" brilliantly explores the uncertain anxieties all Americans are experiencing right now.
