Electricity
by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band
, , , ,

He_Is_Me says: A 1968 live performance of one of Captain Beefheart's early but defining songs. "Electricity" is what this song is all about: energy is everywhere, from Don Van Vliet's howling'n'grunting to Ry Cooder's amazingly primitive slide guitar work. The sound quality of those old tapes does not impair the power of the performance.
