Weapons for El Salvador
by The Ex
, ,

He_Is_Me says: The Ex are an example of punk orthodoxy, but not in the "sex and drugs and provocation" style. Theirs is the "political, DIY and experimental" fringe of punk, as "Weapons for El Salvador" clearly shows. Self-released in 1981 as a benefit single for the resistance movement in El Salvador, the song features intricate, abrasive rhythms and guitar noise that may please the fans of early Sonic Youth or Fugazi.
