Subverse says: I am down with artists taking Hip Hop in different directions, pushing the boundaries of the music (sometimes too far) and changing how we think about what it is to do Rap music, but I am still down with the raw Brooklyn sound; rugged lyrics backed by a sampled drum kit. You can imagine the MC and producer just came off a battle on the corner before they hit the lab. So yes, you could label me old fashioned.
