Baliade

Eclecticat says: I found this piece at Balungan, a publication of the American Gamelan Institute. "Baliade" was composed by Sinta Wullur for string quartet and diatonic gamelan, and it is a remarkable international fusion of musics. If you can imagine Bela Bartok or Igor Stravinsky hanging out with a Gamelan ensemble, you might hear something like this! This is new information to my ears, and it is beautiful.
