Band Geek says: I'm not much of a fan of recording studio jazz sessions past the late 60s Blue Note and Impulse! sessions. Jazz is a live art form, in my opinion. But if you're going to use a studio at this point in time then take the time to do it right. Here's a couple of artists who do! Saxophonist David Valdez and guitarist Pere Soto have recently put together a beautiful soundscape with their CD "Oasis." Here's an mp3 of one of my favorite tracks.
