Jazz Beau says: Max Roach recently passed away, and he took with him numerous stories and inspiration from having worked with musicians who challenged the status quo and changed the direction of jazz in the 1950’s. He never stopped innovating, and he never stopped influencing new generations of jazz artists. He will be missed.
