Made in the Dark
by Hot Chip
, ,

He_Is_Me says: Hot Chip are famed (well, at least in their native England) for thumping, throbbing weird disco tracks (grab "Over and Over" if you can!). "Made in the Dark", the opener to their latest album of the same name, doesn't tread the same field at all: it is all subdued, soft-paced melancholy, dare I say "geeky soul music"? A great showcase for an ever-growing sense of songcraft.
