A Secret Solo
by Philip Glass
, ,

High Brow says: I have said it before, and I will say it again, modern classical composers - often called minimalist - generally fail to light my emotions or rustle my imagination. It takes a creative force like Philip Glass to communicate the subtle complexities and vivid beauty in his genre of classical composition. This is a short (2:17 min.) piece that I feel serves as a good introduction to his music, and demonstrates why he is one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.
