Jazz Beau says: If you are interested in studying jazz (either as a musician or as a fanatic) you have to start at the beginning. That single pinpoint on the map is the great Jelly Roll Morton, known as the master of writing 3 minute piano tunes that took full advantage of the time limitation of the 78 rpm record. His influence still resonates in music culture to this day. Glad to see him alive and well over at muzic!
