The Common Cold says: Ok, how can I say this? Here's a song that by my normal standard, I would consider wordy, verbose. But it's not. Every single word belongs, has a reason, is the story, so it all comes to life, and creates a person and a place before you. 80's music in the 80's was largely a romantic expectation of an uncertain future. On "Wishing Well," The Airborne Toxic Event is the sound of that future now arrived.
