The Boxer
by Me First & The Gimme Gimmes

pootietang says: "The Boxer," – written by Paul Simon (one of my all-time favorites) and performed by Simon & Garfunkel – is currently #4 on my "comfort jams" chart. So imagine my delight when I stumbled on this cover of "The Boxer" by Southern California pop punk cover-band, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. While the original walks through the lonely winter streets of New York City, this cover conjures up warm summer days spent lounging at the beach.
