Progress
by Tony Allen with Africa 70
, , ,

He_Is_Me says: Legendary drummer Tony Allen (one of the creators of afrobeat, and more recently half of the rhythm unit for The Good, The Bad, and The Queen) takes the leading role for this infectious 10-minute jam with Fela Kuti's backing band, Africa 70. Sax and horn solos, keyboard solos, endless guitar riffing, and of course the man who sounds like he's playing a hundred drums at once, this has it all. A 70s gem!
